Alexandria University Council during its session on Tuesday, 27 December 2016 headed by the Rector Dr. Essam El Kurdi, approved the nominations of university faculties and institutes for the State Awards 2016 granted by the Academy of Scientific Research as follows:

First:- Nile Prizes (in advanced technological sciences): Prof. Dr. Said Ismail El Khami has been nominated.

Secondly: - State – Merit Prizes: Prof. Dr. Esmat Hussein Hegazy the Professor Emeritus at Faculty of Agriculture has been the nominated (in agricultural sciences) and Prof. Dr. Morsi Abu Saaud El Suda the Professor Emeritus at Faculty of Agriculture has been nominated (in advanced technological sciences that serve agricultural fields).
