Instructions for authors for preparation of research articles

• The journal will consider contributions focusing on molecular and cellular aspects of medical science and related subjects.

The editorial process

• Manuscripts received are acknowledged immediately. Once a paper has been evaluated, the authors will be notified of the editorial decision (in general within 2 weeks after submission). Authors of papers accepted for publication are entitled to receive 25 reprints at regular cost.  Additional reprints may be ordered at extra charge.

When your paper is rejected?

1. Dual publication will lead to automatic rejection and may prejudice acceptance of future submissions.
2. Editorial board might reject papers which lack originality, poorly designed or has no clear message.

Preparation of manuscripts

• Authorship: It is understood that the corresponding author is responsible for obtaining agreement of all co-authors of the manuscript submitted to JMRI. A covering letter to the JMRI editorial board requesting submission and signed by all authors with a define role of each author must accompany the manuscript copies. Submission of the manuscript implies that (submitted) manuscripts have not been published, nor will be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. An abstract in a conference prior to a full report is not regarded as a duplicate publication
• Format of manuscripts: Research articles should follow the standard scientific format: Abstract, Key words, introduction, subjects and methods, results (with tables and figures as necessary) discussion, references, and acknowledgement (if any). The text should be typed double spaced on A4 sized (30x21 cm) paper. A2 cm margin should be left at both sides of the text, 3cm wide margins at top and bottom of page. Pages should be numbered consecutively from the title page via last page. All data should be expressed in units conforming to the system international (SI). One original and two photocopies of the entire manuscript should be submitted along with three sets of photographs.

The title page

• The title page should include:
  1. A title as short as possible (of not more than 100 letters)
  2. Details of all authors including name and address of the institutions
  3. Name and address of the author to whom the proofs and correspondence should be sent (corresponding author).
• Abstract: A short self-explanatory structured (outlining the background, aim, methods, results and conclusion) abstract of 200 words should be submitted on a separate page followed by a brief listing of carefully selected MeSH key words (5-8).
• Tables: Tables must be typed on separate pages (typed double-spaced) and should follow the reference list. All tables must be numbered consecutively and each must have a brief heading (in Latin numbers) describing its contents. Any footnotes to tables should be indicated by superscript characters. Tables must be referred to in the main text in order. All tables must be simple and not duplicate information given in the text.
• Illustrations: Three copies of all figures or photographs should be included with the submitted manuscript. Figures must be as simple as possible, 2D, black and white with clear background. Figure number, name of senior author and an arrow indicating (TOP) should be typed on a gummed label and affixed to the back of each illustration. All illustrations (figures) must be numbered as cited in the text in consecutive numerical order, in Arabic numbers. Photographs must be high-contrast, glossy black and white (when colors are unnecessary) prints and mounted with preferred size between10X13 And13X18 cm.
• Legends: Capitations for the figures must be typed; double- spaced and must not appear on the figures.
• References: List references, double-spaced in consecutive numerical order of citation in the manuscript, not alphabetically. Unpublished data will not be accepted as references. References should follow the examples:

Advisory Board

The main pharmacy and first developed since the foundation of the institute. Dr Soheir el meligy was the first dean pharmacist(1971 to 2006) who greatly helped in the pharmacy evolution so as to fulfill all the requirement of the hospital. She retired in 2006 to leave a new group of pharmacists classified in descending order according to their grade.

A Summary of the whole work done at the hospital pharmacy

1. Daily dispensing of medicines,Nutrient and blood electrolytes solution to all patients ward through the unit dose system
2. Daily supplying of medicines,Nutrient and blood electrolytes solution to all departments and clinics for example:
   • Surgery department ( this include medicines before and after surgery, in addition to the Narcotics and analgesic anti-inflammatory drugs)
   • Endoscopic department
   • Renal department
   • Oncology clinic
   • Dental clinic
   • Emergency clinic

1. Periodical supervision of the present medicines to prevent drug expiration and shortage
2. Assisting Doctors to get any drug information required

The dispensing occur through a special system so as to make an easy communication between pharmacists, doctors, nurses and patients.
