Demonstrator
- Master in microbiology and molecular diagnostic
- Ph.D in microbiology and molecular diagnostic
- Master in Infection control and treatment
- Performing routine microbiological tests for various clinical samples collected from different body sites from inpatients and outpatients:
- Staining and Culture and sensitivity
- Serological tests for diagnosis of infectious diseases: Widal test, ELISA (HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV, H.pylori)
- Routine screening for hemodialysis patients and blood donors
- Molecular diagnosis of infectious diseases: Real time PCR for quantitation of HCV, HBV, TB, CMV......etc
- Control of health care associated infection: knowledge about new alert microbes, unusual resistance, interpretation of microbiologic results, , infection surveillance and education of health care and assist in the design of antibiotic formulary
- Participation with other departments in MRI and with Faculty Of Medicine and Faculty Of Pharmacy in scientific research related to the field of interest
Teaching the syllabus of diagnostic and molecular Microbiology for candidates applying for Master and Ph. Degrees
