The hematology department is one of the eminent departments in the Medical Research Institute, that has many activities, and provides medical services for many patients. The department consists of highly specialized laboratory units, an in patient ward, and an outpatient clinic, which diagnose and treat haematological diseases. The staff members of the department are highly qualified university professors, assistant professors ……….etc. with a team of well trained technicians and nurses.

It is the only surgical unit in Medical Research Institute hospital (238 beds). It is a general, oncology and GIT surgical unit. The stuff members are responsible for teaching the Experimental courses for the post graduate students, master and PhD degrees in experimental surgery. Also they are responsible for management of surgical wards in free and private sections.

This department is one of the eminent departments of the Medical Research Institute. It has three main units: Nephrology, Cardiology and Hepatology/Gastroenterology units. It provides medical services through outpatient clinics and inpatients wards. It also provides a variety of other specialized diagnostic and therapeutic services.
