The Human Physiology department is one of the departments in the Medical Research Institute that has several activities, and provides medical services for patients. The department consists of two units: The Physiology unit and The Clinical Physiology unit. The staff members of the department are highly qualified professors, associate and assistant professors with a team of well trained technicians.
About:
The department of Histochemistry and cell biology is one of the earliest departments established in1964 under the name of tumor cell biology at the Medical Research Institute. It has a unique character because it is the only department among Egyptian Universities which awards M.Sc and Ph.D in this field.

The hematology department is one of the eminent departments in the Medical Research Institute, that has many activities, and provides medical services for many patients. The department consists of highly specialized laboratory units, an in patient ward, and an outpatient clinic, which diagnose and treat haematological diseases. The staff members of the department are highly qualified university professors, assistant professors ……….etc. with a team of well trained technicians and nurses.
About:
It is the only surgical unit in Medical Research Institute hospital (238 beds). It is a general, oncology and GIT surgical unit. The stuff members are responsible for teaching the Experimental courses for the post graduate students, master and PhD degrees in experimental surgery. Also they are responsible for management of surgical wards in free and private sections.
