These research areas represent the core pillars of the Department of Applied Medical Chemistry and aim to improve our understanding of cancer and develop more effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

Anaesthesia department established in 1963 by professor Mohamed Ramadan (16 beds /hospital), in1970 hospital beds increased to 240. In the near future, it will be 300 beds.
Anaesthesia department strategy for research 2007-2008 include: perioperative pain management, chronic pain management fast track anaesthesia, and recent advances in hepatobiliary anaesthesia.
Residents and Clinical Fellows are enrolled in the following training

  1. Anaesthetic practice for oncology, GIT, vascular, fast track surgery, head and neck, endoscopy and dentistry.
  2. ICU
  3. Pain assessment and management
